Our services include:

Site Clearing

GCL understands that site clearing and grubbing is critical in the initial phase to the success of any kind of land development project. This phase could be demolishing an existing structure or preparing the groundwork for new construction. Site clearing and grubbing a site is the starting point at the project site before pipelines for any residential or commercial development or installed. 

After a project site has been surveyed, demolition (if needed), vegetation, and all ground service debris are removed by clearing and grubbing the project site.  and demolition (if necessary), vegetation, and surface debris are removed by clearing and grubbing the site. When clearing a project site, all vegetation and brush is removed while grubbing is the removal of all remaining vegetation roots that remain in the project soil. This is the removal of all trees, logs, brush, and garbage and the grinding of any stumps. Once complete, the site is prepared for the next phase of earthworks such as grading and drain installation.

Earthworks

At GCL our earthworks include stockpiling, mass excavation, footing, trench, ditching, backfill, fine grading, soil remediation, hauling, and shoring services. GCL re-shapes earth at construction sites throughout the GTA. GCL owns a fleet of industry-leading earthmoving equipment that meets the demands of any project site.  

GCL’s crew cut, haul, move and compact thousands of cubic yards of fill each season. We use modern computer-generated surface models and GPS-guided heavy equipment on every job site we work on. This allows us to be accountable for daily production, eliminate unnecessary job needs and ensure proposed grades are performed accurately and succinctly every time.

Stormwater management

Stormwater can create significant issues for commercial or municipal site projects leading to oil erosion, flooding, overloaded sewer systems, and pollution. GCL specializes in designing and implementing solutions for all stormwater management projects.

GCL understands the challenge of layout, site conditions, and environmental conditions that apply to all stormwater management projects we work on. It’s crucial to have experienced stormwater management systems in place for any major construction project. Without experienced project management, issues and future costs may arise.  

GCL offers a variety of stormwater management systems, including cisterns, catch basins, sewers, ponds, and other water-related structures that may be required for each project.

GCL is a full-service, surface works-related concrete contractor specializing in meticulously laid roads, concrete curbs, sidewalks, and storm gutters for our customers in the Greater Hamilton area. Our surface works projects service governmental, municipal, and business/commercial customers.  GCL’s modern fleet of heavy equipment is operated by best-in-class highly trained professionals that deliver results and exceed customer expectations. We achieve this through a properly developed and quality-controlled construction process.

All of our surface projects are coordinated through our corporate head office in Waterdown, Ontario, and delegated to our experienced team.  

GPS Surveying

Need land surveyed for development? Our own highly experienced and trained GPS survey operator team and our all-terrain vehicle are at your service. We are experienced enough to develop and manage substantial projects with our highly trained team, yet small enough to make sure we don’t miss anything our service is personal and exacting. Our clients vary from large developers, cities, major construction companies, and councils.

GCL only uses the most up-to-date, advanced technology available, ultimately providing the best and most accurate site services. All of our surveyors are personally equipped with this equipment and laptop computers, so are able to produce drawings on site if required.
